The objective of this experiment was the evaluation of the use of pollen meiosis index to better define time and concentration of hydrogen cyanamide and mineral oil in peach cultivar Riograndense. The results allow to concluded that the use of pollen meiosis for determining the time and concentration of dormancy agents was suitable but needs more detailed studies under other climatic conditions and with other cultivars. In addition, application of 2% mineral oil, sprayed at tetrad stage increase fruit set in peach, cultivar Riograndense. Hydrogen cyanamide mixed with mineral oil may advance blooming and leafing as well as promoting the vegetative bud breaking in old branches or twigs of previous growing season. aBlooming aBreak dormancy aFruit set aLeafing aProduction instability aTetrad tIn: INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON PLANT DORMANCY, 3., 2004, Wageningen.
