The aim was to test the use pig's manure to feed fish comparing with ration. Nine ponds were used: in three ponds (TI) the fish were fed with manure of 60 pigs; in the other three (TII) with 45 pigs; and the remaining ones (TIII) with ration with 28% PB. The rate replacement of water was made from 2,5 to 5,0% a day for hectare of pond. The stock corresponded to 1 fish for 2,5 m2 of pond: 60% of Cyprinus carpio; 20% of Aristichtys nobilis and 20% of Oreocrhomis niloticus totaly 4.000 fish per hectare. Were evaluated 63 fish for analyses microbiologics of the meat, presence or not of Staphylococcus aureus; Salmonella; total and fecal coliformes. The period was 8,2 months of cultivation. The results showed that not as much bacteria was found in the fish fed with pig manure.
