Four semi purified diets were formulated to contain aproximately 40% crude protein and 4000 kcal of digestible energy/kg of diet. Post larvae of pacu (Piaractus mesopotamicus) in number of 180 were randomly stocked in 12 tanks, four treatments and tree replicates. The treatments were: complete vitamins mix, without vitamin mix, without water-soluble vitamins and without fat-soluble vitamins.
