V. aOVIPOSITION OF Palpita forficifera (LEPIDOPTERAbCRAMBIDAE) ON OLIVE CULTIVARS.h[electronic resource] c2022 aPalpita forficifera Munroe (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) is a moth associated to Oleaceae plants in Latin America. It is considered a key pest affecting olive groves in the Brazilian states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. This work aimed to evaluate the oviposition preference of P. forficifera on three olive cultivars in laboratory bioassay.Nursery trees of the cultivars Arbequina, Arbosana and Koroneiki, were used in free choice tests. The oviposition of P. forficifera was similar in the three cultivars evaluated, showing that P. forficifera females have no preference and can oviposit equally on the three cultivars. aintegrated pest management aolive catterpillar aPlant resistance1 aBRUGNARA, E.
