Flaxseed is an alternative to winter crops in southern Brazil because it allows crop rotation, has low cost and requires the same equipment used in wheat, soybean and corn. The absence of improved cultivars adapted to the region has been a limiting factor in the expansion of the area. The objective was to evaluate the performance of golden flaxseed lines selected based on the productive components, in the city of Campos Novos (SC). Two groups of lines from an area of 25 ha in Zort??a (SC) were evaluated in 2017. The selection of progenies was carried with involvement among farmers, technicians and researchers from Epagri and UFSC. The experiments (A and B) were carried out in a randomized block design with four replications. Each experiment consisted of 19 lines, sown at a spacing of 0.34m between rows, the plots were formed by a two-meter row and 200 seeds. Data were submitted to analysis of variance by the F test (p<0.05) and means were compared by the Scott-knott test (p<0.05). The averages of final stand (FE), number of capsules per plant (NCP) and weight of grains per plant (GW), in trials A and B, showed differences statistical. It was observed that FE was positively correlated with the increase in grain weight per area (GWA) in tests A and B. The correlation of NCP and GW variables was negative in relation to GWA and FE. In the test of means on the GWA variable, in trials A and B, there were no significant differences in yield. In trial A, the 19 genotypes had an average yield of 2,259.41 kg ha-??, with a range of 779.85 kg with a variation of 1751.20 to 2,531.05 kg ha-??. In test B, the average yield of the 19 genotypes was 2,403.18 kg ha-??, with a range of 707.37 kg, with a variation of 2,102.65 to 2,810.02 kg ha-??. Even with no statistical differences between the genotypes, the yield is higher than the national average of 987.1 kg ha-1 , in the year 2018. aLinnum usitatissimum L asuperior lines ayield1 aFIOREZE, A.
