L. aPerformance os varieties and italian clones for viniculture in Santa Catarina.h[electronic resource] c2014 aThe objective of this study was to evaluate the agronomic performance of 36 grapevines varieties (Vitis vinifera L.) in three distinct high altitude (> 900 m) regions of Santa Catarina State. The experiment was carried out during 2009/2010, 2010/2011, 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 harvests. Experimental areas were placed in Campos Novos (27º 19' 83" S, 50º 49'18" W, 973 m of altitude), the Marari Sierra (Tangará) (27º 12' 24" S, 51º 06' 96" W, 1059 m of altitude), and Água Doce (26º 43' 92" S, 51º 30' 72" W, 1350 m of altitude). Dates of budding, flowering, ripening and harvesting were noted to register the phenological stages. The production indexes were evaluated by counting the number of bunches per plant, number of bunches per branch, productivity (Kg plant-1 and t ha-1), the average weight of bunches, and the weight of 100 berries. At harvest the total soluble solids, total titratable acidity, pH, total polyphenols and anthocyanins were evaluated. The white and red wine grape varieties with better performance in the field were the Manzoni Bianco, Vermentino and Garganega; and Rebo and Sangiovese, respectively. aUva avinho1 aSOUZA, A. L.
