H. aGENETIC DIVERSITY USING ISSR IN CITRUS FRESH FRUIT MARKET CULTIVARS IN SANTA CATARINA - BRAZIL.h[electronic resource] c2016 aSuccess of the breeding program depends on the existence of variability in the working population. It is important to cross genotypes with superior performance and differ among themselves. This divergence can be evaluated with agronomic traits and molecular markers. Thus, the aim of this work was to study genetic diversity using ISSR in 17 citrus fresh fruit market cultivars in Santa Catarina, Brazil. Twelve ISSR markers were used: UBC 817, UBC 834C, UBC 834T, UBC 849C, UBC 849T, UBC 851C, UBC 851T, UBC 862, UBC 864, UBC 886, UBC 868 and UBC 881. The Jaccard coefficient was used to estimate the genetic similarity between genotypes and the dendrogram was obtained based on UPGMA, through the NTSYS 1.7 software. Genetic analysis showed that the similarity coefficient ranged from 0.51 (between Satsuma/Blood) to 1.00 (Reinaldo/Cara-Cara, Moro/Sanguinelli). Dendogram resulted in the formation of five groups. Group I consisted of all Citrus sinensis genotypes - SCS 454 Catarina, SCS457 Souza, Sigmar, Reinaldo, Cara-Cara, Moro, Sanguinelli and Blood; Group II - Fallglo and Tankan; Group III - Citrus reticulata (Oota and Ponkan), Citrus deliciosa (Rio) and Citrus clementina (Clemenules); Group IV - containing only the genotype Champanha and group V - Citrus unshiu (Satsuma and Okitsu). The average values of the Shannon Index and Nei?s Gene Diversity were 0.68 and 0.48, respectively. With these results, we can conclude that there is genetic variability among genotypes and it is possible to produce promising interspecific hybrids. aJaccard aMolecular markers aNei aShannon aUPGMA1 aPEREIRA, A.1 aCORR??A, L.
