Lewan and S(2002) note that significant knowledge of ecosystem services requires that the general public be aware of the functions of nature. Such findings lead us to hypothesize that perceptions of services will depend on the level of training and access to information of those surveyed, as well as on their attachment to, or their personal knowledge on ecosystems. It is therefore important that the approach to identify ecosystem services in aquaculture systems informs those interviewed defining samples of people who are genuinely involved. Their familiarity with the studied ecosystems is a guarantee of the relevance of their answers. aecosystem services1 aREY-VALETTE, H.1 aBELHAMITI, N.1 aFONTAINE, P.1 aMOREAU, Y.1 aCALLIER, M.1 aCASACA, J.
