L.  aForage yield and chemical composition of ryegrass varieties (Lolium multiflorum) in Santa Catarina, State.h[electronic resource]  c2014  aThe objective this work was evaluate the agronomic performance cultivars of annual ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) in the climatic conditions of the North Plateau of Santa Catarina, in Southern Brazil, during the period 2013/2014. The cultivars evaluated were: Zorro, Avance, Zom II, Abundant, Sonik and Bastille. The Bastille and Zorro cultivars were the most productives, not differing among themselves, with total dry matter yields of 7197 and 7129 kg/ha, respectively. There was no difference in total dry matter production among other cultivars evaluated. There was also significant difference between cultivars for chemical composition, all of which showed excellent qualitative parameters, with 22.9% crude protein, 22% ADF and 71.7% digestibility.  aGrazing  aRyegrass  aValue for cultivation and use  aWinter forage1 aCORDOVA, U.
