Currently clones of these cultivars selected according to quality characteristics like, for example, the red color of fruits are planted. The aim of this study was to evaluate the agronomic potential of six clones of ?Gala?, three clones of ?Fuji? and three commercial cultivars, under the environmental conditions of Ca??ador, Santa Catarina State, Brazil (26??46?31??S latitude, at 960 meters altitude). The experimental design existed of randomized blocks with 12 cultivars: Daiane (hybrid developed in Brazil by Epagri), Braeburn, Cripps Pink, Baigent, Maxi Gala, Gala Real, Galaxy, Imperial Gala, Royal Gala, Fuji Select, Mishima and Fuji Suprema (clone developed in Brazil by Epagri). Three replicates of 10 plants per plot were grafted on two rootstocks (M-9; Marubakaido with M-9 interstock). After three years of production, the group of Fuji shows the highest productivity for both rootstocks reaching in some cases more than double the production in comparison with Gala. The cultivar Daiane stands out with a productivity higher than the Gala?s group, matching in some cases with some clones of Fuji. In the Fuji?s group, the clone Fuji Suprema is prominent with higher yields than those of two other clones tested. aMalus domestica aRed skin collor1 aLEITE, G. B.1 aPETRI, J. L.1 aGABARDO, G.
