The substitution of landrace populations of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) by commercial varieties has provided high productivity and market acceptance. However, due to genetic uniformity and loss of its rusticity, bean crops became more vulnerable to diseases and pests than ever. The objective of this work was to evaluate the impact of high dynamized dilutions on landrace populations and commercial varieties of beans on its productivity and occurrence of pests and diseases. The study was conducted in the municipalities of Lages, Anita Garibaldi, Campos Novos, and São José do Cerrito, all located in the Southern Plateau of Santa Catarina State, Brazil. The occurrence of anthracnose (Colletotrichum lindemuthianum) and bacteriosis (Xanthomonas sp.) in the crop cycle were evaluated. At harvest time, we evaluated the production of grains (kg ha-1), number of pods per plant and weight of one thousand grains (g). Analysis of data showed no differences in the productivity and diseases among landraces and commercial varieties of beans. High dynamized dilutions did not differ in terms of productivity. However, they were superior in the sanitary control. |
