Overcoming bud dormancy in vine plants involves internal factors such as the balance of promoters and growth inhibitors, and external factors such as temperature, photoperiod and solar radiation. Synthetic products are commonly used to help overcome dormancy, resulting better standardization of bud break, flowering and consequently the production. The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of application Dormex® and Erger, to overcome the bud dormancy of the variety Pinot Nero. The experiment was conducted at EPAGRI Experimental Station, located in the city of São Joaquim, Santa Catarina State (28°17'39? S; 49°55'56? W, altitude 1,415 m a.s.l.), during season 2016. The vineyard was planted in 2006, the plants were grafted on Paulsen 1103, vines were trained in vertical shooting positioning trellis and spacing 3.0 x 1.5 m. The treatments consisted in applying Dormex® in the concentrations of 1%, 2% and 3 %; and applying Erger + Calcium Nitrate in the concentrations of 3% , 5% and 7%; the control received only the application of water. The experimental design was randomized blocks with five plants per plot. The phenology was evaluated until inflorescence clearly visible stage. To evaluate production indices were counted the number of buds after pruning, sprouted buds, fertile buds and number of clusters. Real sprouting was calculated by the ratio between the number of sprouted buds and the number of buds after pruning (bud load). The rate of effective sprouting was obtained by dividing the total number of fertile buds by bud load after pruning. Treatments to overcome dormancy accelerated plant bud break three days on average. The treatment Erger + Calcium Nitrate 7% caused a delay of about 1 month in the plant cycle. The application of growth regulators did not affect production indices of the variety Pinot Nero in highlands of southern Brazil.
