The use of plant growth promoting bacteria (PGPB - Plant Growth-Promoting Bacteria) allows a greater supply of nutrients to the plants. The objective was to prospect bacterial isolates as potential plant growth promoters in forages. Between August and September 2015, they were collected 14 soil samples from areas with Axonopus catharinensis Valls. in different regions of the state of Santa Catarina and Parana. The collection areas had 5, 7 and 11 years with A. caharinensis Valls., with and without nitrogen fertilization. The samples were separated into soil and roots and subjected to isolation protocol for diazotrophic microorganisms with selective culture medium in Epagri/Experimental Lages Station. Formed a collection of 1,400 isolates diazotrophic. We evaluated in vitro as 510 isolated the ability to produce indole compounds in culture medium. Production of indole compounds was checked in 33 (6.47%) of total isolates. The concentration of indole compounds produced ranged from 0.0023 to 0.3506 µg mL-1, and only 10 isolates (30.3%) had concentrations above 0.1 µg mL-1. 32 bacterial isolates were selected roots and only one was selected of soil. Of the 10 isolates with production of indole compounds above 0.1 µg mL-1, 8 were selected in areas without fertilizer nitrogen and 2 in area that had some kind of nitrogen fertilizer. The results show more likely to find diazotrophic PGPBs in endophytic isolated and in places where there is little or no nitrogen fertilization. |
