A test on the super intensive culture of Litopenaeus vannamei was done in two 0,35
ha ponds with 150 shrimps/m 2 storage density, using 17 HP/ha aerators and artificial
substrates. The experiment purpose was tp obtain zero water exchangs proximately and turn to viable areas where the weather conditions doesn't allow more than one production cicle anually. The results were obtained in 113 days of culture, with 13,3 g shrimps and a 0,83 g/week growth rate. The survival rate was 50.1 % reaching 3.418 Kg per pond that
represents 9.768 Kg/ha/cicle of produtivity. Finally, the F.C.A practiced was 1,26. It's
important to say that this experiment is a preliminar one and other results are going to be
confirmed in another studies with more accurately experimental design.
