Brine shrimp Artemia is a diet for larvae and juvenile of crustacea and marine fish. It has been known that pathologic bacteria can invade crustacea and fish by feeding the Artemia nauplii on which the pathogen attached. Then microflora of Artemia eggs were studied. The eggs were introduced in sterile seawater vibrated and each sample was serially diluted and plated into the 1/20 PYBG agar medium. After incubation the colonies were counted and identified. The result indicated that microflora of brine shrimp Artemia eggs can be consisted of Gram-positive bacteria including Micrococcus, Bacillus, coryneforms, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus.
