The sigatoka monitoring system is one of the most important advances in the control of the disease in several countries. In this work, two systems were evaluated, Pre-Notice and Stage of Evolution in field experimental conditions in the subtropical climate of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The Pre-Notice system usually results in higher values of the disease, especially in the fall and winter. In the spring and summer the two methods resulted similar values. High leaf emission rates were important in the greater similarity of the systems. The two systems are suitable for monitoring of the disease, especially the method of Pre-Notice in Santa Catarina conditions. |
